Why I'm Never the First Choice to Throw a Baby Shower

Okay so I actually drew todays comic like a month ago, but forgot about it because my friend Tiffany was out of town at the time, but since we're going to her house for dinner tonight, it reminded me that I drew this comic especially for her.

This is my friend Tiffany.

She's knocked up.

Since I've never been pregnant, I've come up with my own ideas as to how it feels to be pregnant. So when people say cute things like, "Oh the baby's moving!" My response is usually:
"It's probably a tapeworm."

Or when, for instance, Tiffany jokingly says, "I think the baby is biting me." I generally say things like:

"It's eating you alive from the inside out!"

This comic is a slight exaggeration.

She thought it was hilarious.

You are delightful. I was going to email you to ask you what sketch program you use, as I have a little drawing for my post tomorrow, but I have a feeling that my utter lack of talent wouldn't make a difference which program I used.

I use Paint Shop Pro. It has a crayon feature that makes them really easy. Best tip I can give you is to not care what it turns out looking like. After trying for hours to make the best looking cartoon I said, "Forget it, I'm gonna go with the 5 year old Jia version of this." And tada! I can't wait to see your drawing!!!

Seriously, this is why I know we would get along. The whole time I was pregnant I referred to the baby as a parasite, evil demon child, tapeworm, alien, etc. Seriously.

I'd let you throw me a baby shower. You'd be my first choice. But thank God I am done having kids. Yikes.

This is the Tiffany she is referring to. I heart Jia! She always knows how to make me crack a seam laughing.
