It may be a scrapbook paper tree, Dollar Store stockings, and presents wrapped in newspaper, but it was the best Christmas we've had so far. It was the first Christmas we spent alone together. It was the first Christmas we spent in our own apartment. It was the first Christmas we put up our own tree, stuffed our own stockings, and had our own traditions.
It was also Willow's first Christmas stocking . . .
She is not a fan of Snowmen.

I am so with you on spending the holidays alone. It's wonderful!
I love your decorations! My favorite decoration is a pound store nativity I bought ages ago. It's tiny, plastic, and the paint chips, but I love it because it's simple and beautiful. We didn't spend much on presents or parties or expensive decorations this year, but we loved being together and spending time alone, and I felt like we had a better Christmas because of it!
Gotta love Willow and her antics. How we love the infamous Puggy Spin!
I love homemade Christmas decorations. Your tree is so cute. My favorite decorations are ones my kids make.- paper snowflakes for the windows, Painted nutcrackers and tree ornaments or gingerbread men for the Christmas tree. And as far as presents- time is the best one of all! I'm glad you had a great Christmas.
P.S. I left an award for you on my blog! :)
sounds like a perfect Christmas Jia....uncommercialised and more meaningful!
still love your tree!!
