Do you ever just have one of those days that doesn't really start right and so you struggle the rest of the day? That is today for me. I'm having a cause of the Mondays on my Tuesday.
- It's so hot here right now and the air conditioner ain't cutting it.
- Dogs have been whiny all day long.
- My husband is still sick and he had to go back to work today.
- Internet has been on and off all day long and I can't figure it out.
- Because I was trying to figure out the internet, I forgot to wake the hubby up for work and he was running late. (This is probably another reason why my computer time was cut for me.)
So to take Liss' advice and develop some gratitude for my trials, I'm going to try and put a positive spin on today with my daily gratitudes.
Daily Gratitudes:
- It may be hot here, but it's nothing compared to how I felt in Jamaica, Grand Cayman or heck, even Texas! Dry heat is better than wet heat. And heat at all is better than freezing to death. Maybe I'll sweat off some pounds.
- The dogs may be whiny, but it's just cause they want attention. And so far during our housebreaking trial, they haven't made a mess yet!
- My husband may be sick at work today, but because of his amazing dedication and hard work, he's finally been given a day shift at his job. Considering how many jobs and how many graveyard and night shifts we've delt with, we'll finally both be able to wake up and greet the world at 4:30am!
- The internet comes and goes, but it gives me time to get things done around the house.
- Learning from my mistake this morning, I can be grateful for a loving and forgiving husband who didn't even seem that upset with me. My own guilt is more brutal than he ever will be.
How do you get through a "bad day"?

Unfortunately, my dealing with a lousy day usually includes chocolate or ice cream, which explains why I gained 50 pounds since Dakin got sick...
Anyhoo...where is the strawberry soup cake recipe?? Sounds yummy!! Oh, and I meant to write you--after learning of your penchant for cilantro, I thought of you the last time I made Chicken Green Chili straws--it has cilantro in it and is super cheap and YUMMY. I got the recipe from Robin Miller on Food Network, or if you'd like, I have it on my blog.
Hey, also--I sent my third MMM submission about a month ago--I'd still like to write for you guys, if you'll have me. I didn't see it show up so I thought it might be in spam, though I made sure to send it with my 'good' email...sigh.
Have a better day, ok?
Ah, I found the strawberry soup recipe! yummy!
your conversations with Matt crack me up.
I'm glad your husband finally got the day shift. When I'm having a rough day, I like to sit down and just take a few minutes for myself and read something.
