Because I Don't Care if You Have Christmas Spirit

Pin It

I'm one of those nasty people that gets angry when they see Halloween costumes in August, Thanksgiving sales in September and Christmas anything displayed any moment before mid November. Matt on the other hand can pin point the perfect Christmas tree in the middle of a forest while camping in July.

Me: Did you change the radio station to Christmas music already?

Matt: Isn't it awesome?!

Me: It's November!!!

Matt: Yay! Christmas!

The songs begin to play, and my hum-buginess needed to add in a few lyrics here and there...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Me: THANKSGIVING!!!!

Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.

Me: AND TURKEYS!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,

Me: THANKSGIVING!!!!

Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

Me: AND STUFFING!!!!

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

Me: Well they won't have to wait long cause Thanksgiving break is like four days!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Me: THANKSGIVING!!!!

Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

Me: WHAT SNOW?!?!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;

Me: THANKSGIVING!!!!

Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Me: The bells will start in four freakin' weeks!!!

Matt: Why do you have to ruin everything?

Me: It's not my fault you don't know how to read a calendar!
