Mmm . . . it's so good it's sinful! Apparently my husband has a problem with it though...
Matt: What are you doing?
Me: Making Strawberry Shortcake
Matt: That's not strawberry shortcake. Strawberry shortcake has sugar goopy stuff all over it with WHOLE strawberries.
Me: Well I don't need the sugary goopy stuff, and these strawberries were whole before I blended them, so that counts.
Matt: Why would you blend them?
Me: Taste better.
Matt: Well it's not strawberry shortcake. It looks like strawberry soup.
Me: (Long pause . . . light bulb) Strawberry Soup Cake!
Matt: Are you insane?
Me: Hmm? (licking the strawberry soup cake off of the spoon)Matt: Yup, insane.
Me: You married me.
Matt: Well you weren't insane when I met you.
Me: Wha?!Matt: Well . . . . I thought you'd get better. Like it was a phase or something. Apparently it got worse.
Me: Muahahaha! Soup cake!Matt: Much worse.
To make Strawberry Soup Cake, blend 2 cups of strawberries and pour over a large slice of angel food cake, serve with whip cream and annoy your husband by eating every last drop! That's right, DROP, not slice, not piece, DROP!

Super delicious!
Jia I love you...but that looks disgusting!! I'm siding with your hubby on this one!!
Psh, it's wonderful and delicious and you don't even understand! LOL!
My grandma would do this because it would go further than whole or sliced strawberries for a large group. I like both ways though!
