Okay, even though he’s getting sick of me doing this, I had to share cause I’m so proud. Well first, let me give you some background, Matt worked for a Detention Center here in our county. He was a Detention Officer which pretty much translates into “Guard” or “glorified babysitter”.
Anyways, we were out at IHOP one night with a couple of his co-workers and while we were sitting there someone yells,
“Fight!” and
“Someone help!”
We look out the window, and our waiter is out in the parking lot, getting beat up by three other guys. Matt, without even thinking or blinking or whatever, jumps up from his seat and rushes out the door and begins pulling the guys apart by himself! Eventually his co-workers ran out as well, one reaching for her handcuffs, another shouting
“Move Mother*****!” and another one chasing down a guy who was trying to run away.
I was just amazed that he didn’t even think, just acted. And what’s even weirder, is I never even thought,
“Oh my gosh, what if those guys have guns?” Or anything bad. I just kept thinking,
“Oh wow, he sure looks sexy!”
My hero.

That's pretty cool actually. 99% of the public would have been content to just sit there and do nothign but watch. Glad to read about people who take the initiative to do the right thing.
